Dixstone (Perenco Group) is seeking a Junior Tax Specialist, who can contribute to the Transfer Pricing (‘TP’) documentation (Local Files) process and other tax obligations.
This is a new position within our Group Tax team based in Amsterdam, which will be growing, with you, to 4 FTEs. This is an opportunity to begin your career in-house.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn more about tax in general, in-house, with a focus on transfer pricing
- Work alongside professionals with various backgrounds, in a team environment to analyse and resolve international transfer pricing and other tax issues faced by Dixstone
- Be an integral part of the team, to develop a comprehensive understanding of our business and the broader industry in which we operate
- Perform detailed economic and financial analyses, as well as more complex modelling and empirical analyses where applicable
- Assist in presentations to other departments
- Interaction with other teams within the finance department.
Your main tasks and responsibilities include but are not limited to, assisting in the preparation of OECD TP documentation (local files), extracting data, and, for the countries where Dixstone has a strong presence, DAC6 reporting and other tax obligations. You will learn on the job, reporting to a more senior colleague.
Other Responsibilities:
- Support in performing tax research;
- Support in solving transfer pricing-related issues and – to some extent – on international tax issues;
- Support in implementing TP policies;
- Monitor Tax and TP legislation;
- Preparing and participating in meetings with external advisors or meetings with the tax authorities;
- Interaction with other teams within the finance department, and other teams to encourage them to proactively refer potential risks to the tax team;
- Attendance to seminars organised by external advisers.
Qualifications:
- You graduated (or are about to graduate) from your studies in tax law, fiscal economics, business economics, business administration, accounting or finance.
- You have technical knowledge of the OECD Transfer Pricing Guidelines.
- You are enthusiastic and curious to learn more about the field.
- You are proficient with MS Word and Excel.
- Self-reliant and initiative taking; entrepreneurial mindset; assertiveness and team player
- Good communication skills in English ; French and/or Dutch are an advantage but not mandatory.
- You have analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You’re willing to occasionally go on business travel
