Position Overview:
The group accountant's role is to respect group accounting policies as per IFRS and ensure that all steps are taken in order to properly account for differences in local reporting requirements. It is the group accountant's responsibility to monitor timely intercompany reconciliations within Dixstone group and the wider E&P group and consider all eliminations of balance sheet items and P&L at the reporting dates. The group accountant will also cumulate all other reporting requirements as per IFRS, Dutch, UK and Mauritius regulations and local governing bodies.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare consolidation elimination entries
- Prepare IFRS treatments as per IFRS9, IFRS15, IFRS16
- Analyze intercompany transactions for variances
- Prepare notes to the consolidated financial statement of the group
- Prepare standalone company accounts in respect of IFRS
- Propose adjustments to local company accounts, if needed.
- Coordinate and participate in group audits
Key skills and requirements:
- Accounting designation from a professional order
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Strong Experience in group accounting and consolidation
- Experience with business combinations, mergers and liquidations
- English and French speaker
- Common sense
- Excel
- SAP & HF
- 3 to 5 Years Experience
