About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team. In this role, you will act as a strategic partner to the business, providing HR guidance, driving organizational change, and fostering a positive work environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with labor laws, maintaining strong employee relations, and supporting the business in achieving its strategic goals. Relationship with our Works Councils will also be part of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Mobility Strategy & Implementation: Develop, implement, and manage global mobility strategies that align with business needs.
- Compliance & Labor Law: Ensure the company complies with local and national labor laws, collective agreements, and internal policies. Advise management on legal implications of HR decisions, working closely with legal advisors as necessary.
- Strategic HR Support: Partner with business leaders and department heads to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives, enhance employee engagement, and drive organizational performance.
- Employee Relations: Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, grievance handling, and promoting a positive organizational culture. Provide guidance to managers on best practices for addressing employee concerns and maintaining a harmonious work environment.
- Data Analytics & Reporting: Monitor HR metrics and provide data-driven insights to leadership on key trends such as turnover, employee engagement, and retention, using this data to influence business decisions.
- Change Management: Support and lead change initiatives within the organization, including organizational restructuring, mergers, or acquisitions, ensuring effective communication and a smooth transition for all employees.
- Training & Development: Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to identify training needs, support leadership development programs, and create succession planning strategies that enhance business capabilities.
- Works Council Collaboration: Act as the key liaison between the company and Works Council, ensuring productive communication, transparency, and compliance with local labor laws and collective bargaining agreements.
- Employee Wellbeing: Develop and implement initiatives that promote employee wellness and work-life balance, fostering a supportive and inclusive workplace.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience: At least 8 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR generalist role, with proven expertise in working with Works Councils and handling labor-related matters.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) is a plus.
- Legal Knowledge: Deep understanding of labor law, labor relations, and collective agreements. Experience advising on employment law matters in a unionized environment is highly desirable.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Proven ability to influence and build relationships with senior leaders and Works Council representatives.
- Change Management: Experience in managing organizational change and supporting business leaders in navigating HR challenges during periods of transformation.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to use HR data to drive decision-making.
- Cultural Fit: Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and dynamic environment while remaining flexible and adaptable to change.
Qualifications:
- Experience in an international organization or cross-border HR practices.
- Fluency in Dutch and English.
