The Opportunity:

Join our tax team as a Junior Tax Specialist and help us manage global tax compliance, reporting, and advisory topics. You’ll support filings, research tax questions, and help improve internal processes—all while learning directly from experienced tax professionals and growing your expertise in an international environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research on ad hoc tax issues and present results to the management
  • Assist the team in assessing tax risks of the company’s transactions
  • Work alongside professionals with various backgrounds, in a team environment, to analyse and resolve tax issues faced by Dixstone
  • Monitor latest developments in the tax sphere and new reporting requirements
  • Assist in preparing memorandums documenting the company’s tax position
  • Help the team in creating and implementing a VAT and DAC6 compliance system
  • Interact with colleagues in the finance and other departments to collect necessary data

 

Your main tasks include but are not limited to, assisting in the preparation of CIT and VAT returns, monitoring compliance with the tax rules, and, for the countries where Dixstone has a strong presence, DAC6, Pillar 2 reporting and other tax obligations. You will learn on the job, reporting to a more senior colleague.

 

Other Responsibilities:

  • Learn more about tax in general, in-house, with a focus on CIT, VAT, WHT and Pillar 2
  • Prepare and participate in meetings with external advisors or meetings with the tax authorities
  • Interact with other teams within the finance department, and other teams to encourage them to proactively refer potential risks to the tax team
  • Make presentations on select tax topics for management
  • Keep track of the tax filings and update the tax compliance calendar
  • Attend seminars organised by external advisers

 

Qualifications:

  • You graduated (or are about to graduate) from your studies in tax law, fiscal economics, business economics, business administration, accounting or finance.
  • You have technical knowledge of the OECD Model Tax Convention.
  • You are enthusiastic and curious to learn more about the field
  • You are proficient with MS Word and Excel
  • Self-reliant and initiative taking; entrepreneurial mindset; assertiveness and team player
  • Good communication skills in English, French and/or Dutch are an advantage but not mandatory
  • You have analytical and problem-solving skills
  • You’re willing to occasionally go on business travel
