The MSV COBEIA has recently been hired by Perenco T&t and its partners, Heritage Petroleum and the National Gas Company (NGC), as part of their $200 million three-year refurbishment program to modernize the TSP fields by electrifying the offshore platforms and replacing the existing export pipeline connecting the field to the onshore Terminal at Galeota.
Dixstone has been awarded the conversion and installation of the MOPoU MAGISUS as part of its know-how to bring extra space offshore with added value (in that case o 30MW phased power plant and ancillary equipment to power ESP for nearby wells) and the replacement of the 30’’, 70km export pipeline.
The COBEIA that has just installed similar pipeline in Brazil has been awarded the project in turn key with a challenging shore landing and 3 offshore crossing (underneath the existing pipelines!). To perform that job, the COBEIA has been upgraded in Curacao shipyard with the addition of lateral thrusters to withstand the heavy current and regional swell.
